This is our story…

Since 1973, Perry’s has been a fan favorite for 50 years! Originally located by the Newport Pier on the Balboa Peninsula, we are a single location, family-owned and operated establishment. In 1985, then manager, Jess, began to use his culinary expertise to attract many customers, locals, and fans. One fan in particular was Dawn, who frequented the restaurant not only for the pizza but also for Jess’ attention. 10 years later, the two would marry and eventually, in 1996, purchased the boardwalk location as Mr. and Mrs.!

Year after year, locals and tourists would flock to the beachfront location for a quick slice of pizza and a cold beverage before heading back to the sand to bask in the sun. Summers were busy and packed with patrons from all over the world.

In 2014, our property unexpectedly and unfortunately sold. A blessing in disguise, we relocated to our current location on the corner of Brookhurst & Hamilton (near Trader Joe’s). With glass-paned garage doors aligning the front of the property, we proudly rolled them up in 2015. Although we do miss the Peninsula, we are proud to call Huntington Beach our new home.

How we became Home of the Jug™

During a notoriously crazy 4th of July on the Peninsula, we ran out of pint glasses and resorted to using milk jugs to serve iced-cold beer. Who knew that this unique idea would gain so much popularity eventually earning us trademarked Home of the Jug ™. Customers can now get any of our draft beers served in an iced-cold 32oz milk jug.

While our popularity originated with our Sicilian style pizzas, our menu has grown to include soups, sandwiches, salads, and even prime rib sliders! Every recipe is carefully curated by Executive Chef, Jess, who takes great pride in not only the dishes he prepares but the experience as a whole. To pair with any of our delicious meals, like our prime rib dinner, we offer a wide selection of wines and several local craft beers.

In 2022, we underwent a major, yet seamless, interior transformation.

An almost two year expansion securing the vacant space next door allowed us to double our square footage, double our seating capacity, provide outdoor seating, a new 35’ bar and 16 tap handles. With extended weekend hours, we unveiled a new and enticing menu… breakfast!
